This event is intended to provide valuable opportunities to learn about climate change and toexplore alternative steps towards a healthier future.

The World We Want includes 2 key note speakers, the highly acclaimed film, Cowspiracy , participatory workshops, multimedia presentations, displays, uplifting songs by a massive choir and a vegetarian potluck dinner. Portions of this forum will be professionally videotaped & mounted on YouTube.

Keynote speaker, Dr. Richard Hebda, University of Victoria (Biology, Earth and Ocean Sciences), will speak about local and global climatic changes and impacts to our environment, economy and lifestyles and Herb Hammond will introduce “Ecosystem based Conservation Planning: An Important Response to Climate Change”.

The Doukhobors and Friends choir warmly invites choirs and people of all ages and cultures to join the choir, especially youth, who will play an exciting role in opening the event.

Practices will be held at the Brilliant Cultural Center, October 19th and 26th at 2:00 pm and November 2nd at 12:00 pm.
