Ayurveda is the Ancient healing system of India. Join Sachin in exploring Ayurveda and the depths of knowledge that have been passed down for generations. Discover techniques to determine predominant doshas (we are all made up of 3 doshas, vata, pita, kapha, some more than others) within the system, define and determine vata, pitta and kapha, and explore the various recipes that help balance and maintain optimal metabolism within the system. Sachin will start the evening by taking us on a yoga & meditation journey followed by an introduction to Ayruveda; learn tips and tricks for your Yoga practice & overall wellbeing. Chamela Giri is sponsoring this evening and will be serving Chai tea and masala popcorn during a short film introducing Ayuredic lifestyle.

A CULINARY INTRODUCTION TO AYURVEDA COOKING: OCT 21 |FULL DAY CLASS + FOOD $85
Take a journey into discovering new cooking methods which adhere to the rules of Yoga and also explore how spices can transform the mind, body & soul. Sachin will explore more of Ayurevda and how it teaches us to live our lives in alignment with our individuality, which is with our unique prakriti, or constitution. Students will learn how to cook with spices and use simple assessment tools that guide and support the practice of living in balance. Students will prepare a number of dishes throughout the day. Together we will enjoy eating, learning & cooking. Produce will be sourced from local farms and/or certified organic.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR: SACHIN K SUDRA
Sachin is the founder of Namaste Cooking, a grass roots, community based company set out to educate and inspire people on the Indian healing arts Working as an Ayurvedic Chef & Teacher in the healing Arts of Ayurveda & the Vedic Arts, he was trained at the JSS Ayurvedic Hospital & College where he obtained a clinical certification in Ayurveda, located in Mysore, India. He also studied Ashtanga yoga in Mysore, India. Trained in Kerala, India at the Kalari Ashram, his experience & dharma training includes healing treatments of Marma & Panchakarama. Shachin was a Fine Arts Chef in Montreal Quebec. He is teaching, empowering, & inspiring peoples of all diversities on cooking Ayurvedic food for ones lifestyle & yoga practice.
