Just-A-Mere Organic Farm is nestled in the middle of the beautiful Creston Valley, British Columbia. Owned by Danny and Miranda Turner and certified organic by PACS, the farm offers high quality, organic Rainier and Skeena cherries, as well as an abundance of other fruit and vegetables. The farm has 14 acres of land, 10 of which are currently planted to fruit. The farm produces cherries, apples, apple juice, and blueberries; field crops such as asparagus, aquash and pumpkin; and walnuts. The farm has a natural pond which allows access to excellent bio-dynamic pest control systems for the orchard blocks.
The Turners farm because they’re convinced that sustainable organic farming is a way to generate economic activity in our community and promote the well being of family, workers and their farm land.
Just A Mere Farm has been part of the Creston farming community for 40 years, and the Turners are so glad to continue that tradition into the 21st century. “We work hard to provide the highest quality organic produce at a price that is within reach of our community. We treat our workers with respect and loyalty, and anyone is welcome to stop by year-round to learn about what we do and how we do it,” say the Turners.
Their delicious fruit and vegetables can be found at the Kootenay Co-op (Nelson); Save-On Foods (various locations); the Organic Box (Alberta wide); the Cherry Pit (Calgary); Community Natural Foods (Calgary); and at their farm through farm gate sales, which is located at 2916 Erickson Road.
