From Forest to Feast House Community Feast
What: Traditional Sinixt Community Feast and Ethnobotany Informational Evening and slide show
Graduates from our From Forest to Feast House Etnobotany program will be presenting a powerpoint plant identification slide show and lecture, based on the medicine and food plant knowledge they have acquired in our program. Exotic wild foods will augment a dinner of local wild and domestic meats, vegetables and herbal teas. Tinctures, teas and salves that have been made by the graduates of our program will be available to buy, in support for next year’s educational program.
When: June 23rd, 2018
Time: 6:00-9:00 pm. Please be on time for our opening ceremony at 6:00
Where: Nelson United Church Hall at 602 Silica St., Nelson, B.C.
Fee: This feast is free admission for the public, but we are accepting donations for repeating this beautiful program again in the fall for our community.
